Candidate Screening

Clients - Candidate Screening

By the time a temporary worker starts working for you, they have already undergone our initial screening and healthcare recruitment process.  In addition, prior work history and references, as well as an up-to-date DBS check clearance are obtained.  Also included is basic company and important processes and details such as office and on call contact information; conduct at work and communicating with the branch, reporting and recording, health & safety, time sheet procedure, working time regulations and payment details.

Equipped with this knowledge from day one helps to develop an effective, safe and productive relationship.

We tailor our interview and induction content to each individual client to ensure that when you receive any temporary workers from us, you can be assured we are identifying personal values, behaviours and skills levels throughout the process, as you would with your own team.

We have a contract for services (not employment) with all temporary employees.  Under the contract Alpha24 Healthcare will pay an agreed hourly rate to the temporary worker for all authenticated timesheets submitted and be responsible for the deduction of National Insurance, Tax and other employments costs.  The contract also explains working time regulations relating to paid annual leave, rest periods and working hours and rules of acceptance of any assignment.

These include:

  • The temporary worker must co-operate with the client’s staff and accept the direction, supervision, and instruction of any responsible person in the client’s organisation
  • Rules and regulations relating to the client’s workplace must be obeyed
  • Unless prior arrangements are agreed, temporary workers must conform to the client’s normal hours of work
  • The temporary worker must take all reasonable steps to safeguard their own safety and the safety of any other person who may be present or affected by their actions on the assignment and comply with the health & safety policy of the client
  • They must NOT engage in any conduct detrimental to the interests of the client

Frequently Asked Questions

This takes place in a series of interviews and briefings so that their duties and responsibilities are fully outlined and understood.  Interviews and briefings can be completed in person and/or via video call.
